Its been ages since my last post, its been a very manic, very wet and very muddy year but still cracking, I got back from a show in Paris today 9after the worst EVER day of travel Ive ever had) got on the wrong train to the airport and wound up at the National opera house in the center of Paris, got to the airport 15 minutes before the plane was due to leave because of the striking workers, I was booked on a ferry with Annie and Andreas but yesterday we found out they had gone out of business so panic stations for a bit, the show in Paris was great, 2 shops, one a deli and one a reenactment shop want to stock my jerky so all in all it was a good trip, I think I managed rather well on my own, speaking less french than Al Murray. The show was at Pontouis and was possibly the best market i have ever been to, at one point Im just reading my book in the main hall, I made eye contact with the lovely french lady who kept me going with coffee liqeur and choccy pastry based stuff and did that “Isnt it quiet look ?” when a guy leading a camel with a silk covering and a big shaggy cow with bloody huge horns in front of a chap riding another, bloody huge camel dressed as (I think ) a Bedouin with a great big owl on his wrist just ambled past the stall, needless to say, after a shock like that only chocolate pastry can sort you out lol. Things have been very tough over the last few months what with the cost of ingredients going up, having shows cancelled by the weather the weather but we’re feeling rather confident for the future and have few new idea’s in the pipeline, including the Worlds Hottest Jerky, watch this space !
